DIY Waffle House Pecan Waffles

1 1/2C- Flour
1tea- Salt
1/2 tea- B. Soda
1 egg
1/2C plus 1T- Sugar
2T- Butter, soften
2T- Shortening
1/2C- half & half
1/2C- milk
1/4C- Buttermilk
1/2tea- vanilla

add pecans! :)

Let the mix sit in the fridge overnight...

Makes about 6 waffles

  1. We are feasting on these waffles this morning. I would call them mediocre at best.. I expect bigger flavors & these sort of fell flat. Moving these into the discard pile & will continue on my quest for the PERFECT waffle recipe! :)
